Drewe Jensen
I’m Drewe, skipper of Top Gear Fishing Charters. Fishing has always been a huge part of my life — and over the years it’s grown into a real addiction. I’ve spent countless hours on the water learning how fish behave, where they move, and what it takes to consistently put them on deck. Time on the ocean builds experience, and experience is what puts fish on the deck. Through my ancestors being native to this land and ocean, I’ve always felt a natural connection to the water. Running charters lets me live that every day — chasing fish and sharing the experience with people who want to be part of it. Whether you’re an experienced angler or picking up a rod for the first time, my goal is simple: give you a great day on the water and the best shot at landing something you won’t forget.

The Berjun
Berjun is an award-winning, Australian-built Randell fishing vessel designed for serious offshore fishing on the Gold Coast. Built for strength, safety, and stability, she provides a solid and comfortable platform whether we’re fishing close reefs or heading wide offshore. To make sure everyone gets the best experience, we cap every trip at 12 guests maximum — so there’s room to move, room to fish, and room to actually enjoy yourself. No sardine tins. No standing three deep on a rod. Just a proper offshore vessel doing what it was built to do.

Top Gear Fishing Charters takes accessibility seriously. We believe fishing should be something everyone can enjoy. Where most charter operators hesitate to take guests with mobility challenges, Drewe takes the opposite approach and does his best to accommodate people of all abilities.
The Berjun’s side-opening boarding door makes getting on and off the boat easier and allows wheelchair access — something most Gold Coast charters simply can’t offer. Over the years, guests of all abilities have come out fishing with Top Gear and had an incredible time.
